Infidel, The Musical, Playing In London- Sexy Burqa Video

The musical "The Infidel", based on the movie by the same name, is enjoying a run at Theatre Royal Stratford East in London. David Baddiel who penned the film also wrote both the book and the lyrics to the stage musical.

The story, in case you did not see the movie:

East End Muslim Mahmoud is an ordinary family man whose life is turned upside down when he discovers that not only is he adopted, but that his birth parents are Jewish. The resulting cultural and religious chaos leads to an uproarious and insightful comedy about race, prejudice, confusion and what it really means to be yourself.
Here's a song from the musical: Sexy Burka.  I think one of the niqab-clad singers is actually a guy.

I do wonder, however, how the radical Muslim element in England will respond.

Not surprisingly, here are two comments on YouTube:

Na'eemah Halimah says:

Couldn't you think of anything else to do a play on than disrespecting islam?

The muslim women who wear niqab only wear them out in public and around strangers, not in their homes.

Seeing as your Jewish Mr David Baddiel your religion, just like christianity are so similiar to islam that you're really just insulting yourself. Jewish women wear burqas too but you're so westernised you must have missed that

No caps for Islam? Hmm.

And Aminah Abdur-Rahman writes:

FEAR ALLAH AND TAKE THIS VIDEO DOWN! THIS IS DISRESPECTFUL! MUSLIMAHS ACTING OUT LIKE THIS!

It was posted on YouTube October 22nd, so there are few comments. But I'm sure they will pile up with similar dreck, and eventually probably threats of violence. Silly, humorless people.
